This Privacy Policy explains how the APK Extractor app ("the App", "we", "us") handles your information. The App is developed by Himanshu Rathi.

The short version

• We do not collect any personal information.
• We do not have internet access — the App has no INTERNET permission.
• We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking of any kind.
• We do not require an account, sign-in, or registration.
• Nothing you do in the App ever leaves your device.

Information we collect

None. The App does not collect or transmit any personal or usage data.

To do its job, the App reads certain information locally on your device only:

• The list of apps installed on your device, so it can show them to you and let you back them up. This list is read on-device and is never uploaded, stored off-device, or shared with anyone.
• Basic details of an app you select (such as its name, version, size, and the location of its installation files) so it can display app information and create the backup file. This is processed on-device only.

The App does not read your contacts, location, messages, photos, camera, microphone, or any other personal content.

Permissions the App uses

• Install unknown apps (REQUEST_INSTALL_PACKAGES): used only when you choose to install an APK or XAPK file that you selected yourself. The App never installs anything without your explicit action and the system's confirmation.
• Package visibility: the App can see the apps installed on your device so it can list them for backup. This information stays on your device.
• Storage access: when you extract an app, the App asks you to choose a folder, and saves the backup file only to the location you pick.

Files you create

When you extract an app, the resulting APK or XAPK file is saved to the folder you choose on your own device. These files stay on your device unless you choose to share them using your device's share feature. The App does not upload or transmit these files anywhere.

Data sharing

We do not sell, trade, or transfer any information to third parties, because we do not collect any information in the first place.

Third-party services

The App does not include advertising or analytics SDKs.

The App can use the Google Play In-App Review feature to let you rate the App. This feature is provided by the Google Play Store and is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. The App itself does not receive any personal data through this feature.

Children's privacy

The App is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children under 13. Because the App collects no personal data from anyone, it collects none from children.

Data security

The App stores only small local settings (such as your chosen theme and backup folder) on your device. Because no data is transmitted off your device, there is no transmission to secure.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
